About the Designer

I’m Julie, the founder and designer of Bold Lines Jewellery. My journey began over 15 years ago, when I moved from Paris to Ireland after completing a Master’s in Art and Project Management.

I grew up in a creative family, my father was a graphic designer and my mother worked in fashion retail and from an early age I developed a love for aesthetics through visits to museums in Paris. I was also fascinated by my mam’s jewellery collection, pieces she carefully sourced from exhibitions and independent shops. Architecture, interiors, and the diverse people I meet along the way continue to inspire my work today.

In my jewellery, I love blending raw, organic shapes with fluid forms, reflecting my passion for both the city and the countryside. I’m proud to be a member of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland and the Council of Irish Fashion Designers.

Bold Lines Jewellery embraces contemporary design with a bold twist, crafted for those who appreciate individuality and personal style. Balancing geometric and organic forms, each piece prioritizes comfort, elegance, and quality. Created from high-quality materials like brass, sterling silver, and 18ct gold plating, these designs offer sophistication and lasting durability.

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of everything I do. I carefully consider each step of the process from design to eco-friendly packaging (boxes, bags, and cards) to ensure it aligns with thoughtful, sustainable practices.

Whenever possible, I source raw materials locally and tools from a family-run business in Dublin.

Each piece is designed and handcrafted in my Kildare studio with a deep focus on responsible choices, from the tools and techniques I use to the materials I carefully select.

I prioritise quality and durable design so that each piece can be refreshed and restored after a few years, whether it’s a quick re-polish or re-plating ensuring it can truly last a lifetime. I produce pieces on demand and in small batches rather than mass production, which helps reduce waste. I also do my best to reuse offcuts whenever possible.
